This Duo is marked by deep and spontaneous communication and highly compositional improvisations. In the face of a musical scene which tends to avoid melodic and rhythmic devices, Drees and Bontrager know no taboos. Drones and melodies mix and combine with noise and contemporary extended techniques. The result is an original and physical way of making music: unique and varied, conventional and unconventional, all possible combinations of violin, cello and the human voice. The music opens the listener to an imaginative and creative field. Musical influences from East and West flow together and sound a music which knows no stylistic borders.

Das Duo zeichnet eine tiefe und spontane Kommunikation aus. Die Improvisationen sind sehr kompositorisch angelegt. Vor dem Hintergrund einer musikalischen Szene, die Melodien und Rhythmen meidet sind dagegen im Duo Drees / Bontrager keine Tabus gegeben. Orgelpunkte und Melodien durchmischen sich mit Geräuschen und zeitgenössischen Spieltechniken. Eine ursprüngliche und körperliche Musizierweise: eigenartig und vielfältig, konventionell und unkonventionell, verschiedenste Kombinationen der Geige dem Cello und der menschlichen Stimme. Diese Musik öffnet dem Hörer einen schöpferischen Raum. Musikalische Eindrücke aus Ost und West fließen ein und lassen eine stilistisch unbegrenzte Musik erklingen.
